Located in Grand Junction, CO, the charter school is authorized by the Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI) and opened in the fall of 2023. Students who attend are enriched in a classical learning model led by Headmaster, Carissa Drake. Students in grades K–10 will be served under the GSC project during the 2025–2026 fiscal year. | Located in Brighton, CO, the charter school is authorized by the Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI) and opened in the fall of 2023. Students who attend are enriched in a classical learning model led by Headmaster, Dr. Thomas Tacoma. Students in grades K–10 will be served under the GSC project during the 2025–2026 fiscal year. | Located in Parker, CO, the charter school is authorized by Douglas County School District RE-1 and was founded in 2002. The expansion project will begin this fall of 2025. Students who attend will be enriched in a STEAM-focused, problem-based learning model led by Executive Director & Principal, Liz Dougan. Students in grades 6-8 will be served under the GSC project during the 2025-2026 fiscal year. | Located in Colorado Springs, CO, the charter school is authorized by El Paso County District 49 and opened in the fall of 2024. Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers (CACSA)
CACSA is a non-profit organization that supports all Colorado authorizers and promotes best practices for charter school authorizing in the state. CACSA members include professionals who work directly on authorizing charter schools within school districts and the Colorado Charter School Institute.
Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI)
CSI is a statewide charter school authorizer that was established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2004 and currently authorizes over 40 charter public schools across the state of Colorado, serving more than 22,000 students.
Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
CDE provides leadership, resources, support, and accountability to the state’s 178 school districts, 1,927 schools, over 55,000 teachers, and over 4,100 administrators to help them build capacity to meet the needs of the state’s approximately 883,264 public school students
