2025 Continuation GSC Competition

The Great Schools Colorado (CSP) Continuation subgrant is now open (April 4, 2025) for ONLY those schools who were awarded a state entities grant previously via CDE. This process is open and available. Please contact [email protected] with any eligibility questions. 

 

Eligibility

To qualify for the Great Schools Colorado (CSP) Continuation subgrant, applicants must meet the federal definition of a public charter school under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA, Sec. 4310). Both the school and its authorizer must be public entities. Eligible applicants must have been awarded a CSP State Entities Grant during the 2018-2023 performance period under the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and actively in progress during 2024-2023 federal fiscal year.

Applicants proposing a continuation grant must show strong academic results, including disaggregated achievement data and compliance with federal and state requirements. The Colorado League of Charter Schools reviews all applications to ensure eligibility and alignment with federal CSP requirements. Timeline

  • April 4, 2025: Great Schools Colorado-CSP Grant Informational Call | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (MST)
  • April 4, 2025: Great Schools Colorado-CSP Grant Request for Application (RFA) and Materials Released | 3:00 p.m. (MST)
  • April 4 - May 2, 2025: Application Process for Continuation Schools | Due 5:00 p.m. (MST)
  • April 16 - May 9, 2025 | Office Hours (by appointment) available Wednesdays & Fridays | Availability will vary
  • May 5-9, 2025: Internal Peer Review Process
  • May 12-16, 2025: Announce Continuation Subgrant Awards (provisional) | 12:00 p.m. (MST)
  • May 16-30, 2025: Required Changes/Budget Reconciliation Period | Final Approval Notifications will vary based on applicant
